This building has quite some history. On the sign one may read:
Dr Charles Black House
"...constructed in 1901 on the corner of Ford and Miller Streets...
In the early 1960's it was moved to 45 Hutton Street...
In 2003, Taroom Shire Council purchased this site at 10 Yaldwyn Street which was then vacant, the original reidence having been relocated to a site on the Jackson-Wandoan Street.
Taroom Shire Council purchased the 45 Hutton Street alloment which included this building in 2004.
In 2007, this building was relocated on this site an renovated for use of a Tourism and Information Centre..."
